Research online and on the high street is a great way to get a feel for what you really like or what you don't, it can inspire you and build the excitement too. However, when it comes to parting with money, the most important thing is to make sure that you are making a wise investment.

With that you decide to focus on the cut and the size, and as if by magic an advert for an online jeweller who has an amazing ‘signature cut’, even pops up whilst you are reading. Great, you find exactly what you want, and you are really proud that you did your research, invested your money wisely, and chose the best ring you could get for your one true love. Didn’t you?

Just stop a moment and reconsider. Have you ever viewed a range of diamonds to make a comparison on the whole colour grading spectrum, or seen clarity differences?  If there really is no visible difference to the naked eye, then why is there even a grading system for these features, and why does it affect the price so much.
